Get ready to roll up your sleeves and taste one of Mandurah’s most iconic local experiences: Crabbing - for the Blue Swimmer Crab, a totally sustainable delicacy, prized throughout Australia for its sweet, delicate taste. Our 1.5 hour Catch & Eat Crab Tour is a relaxed, hands-on adventure that brings together sunshine, seafood and a true slice of coastal Western Australia.

Departing from central Mandurah, you’ll cruise out into the calm waters of Mandjar Bay where you'll help our crew bait and then drop crab nets for the region’s famously delicious, fully sustainable Blue Swimmer Crabs. While the crabs are doing their thing beneath the water, sit back and enjoy complimentary soft drinks as we cruise Mandurah’s beautiful estuary and canals.

Then comes the best part.

You'll help the crew pull up the nets and bring in the catch. It's not as easy as they make it look! Once the pots are on board, you'll have the chance to handle your catch, learn about our sustainable crab fishery, and how we fish for the future. Once we have completed pulling in the pots, your crabs are freshly cooked on board while your chef prepares a delicious meal. Then, you can relax, soak up the views and breathe in that salty sea air. At table, our crew will demonstrate how to break through the crab's hard carapace, then it’s time to tuck in to this delicious meal of two whole sweet Blue Swimmer Crabs, served with fried rice, fresh salad and complimentary soft drinks.

We’ll glide through the city’s famous Riviera-style canals, lined with waterfront homes, boats and plenty of wildlife. Keep an eye on the water too, because Mandurah’s friendly wild dolphins love to pop by and say hello.

This tour operates on request and requires a minimum group size of 8 guests. The vessel can carry up to 30 guests.

Accessibility 

This tour requires some mobility and is unfortunately not wheelchair/ walker accessible. For alternative tours and our full access statement, please visit our website. This tour requires guests to be able to move around the vessel unaided, to lift up to 5kg, should guests wish  to partake in pot pulling, and parts of the tour are not seated.

Anaphylactic allergies cannot be catered for, owing to galley size. Halal and gluten free dietary requirements can be catered for, simply let us know on booking.
