The Lobster Catch and Cook Cruise is a 2-hour cruise from Stingray Point, Mandurah, less than an hour from Perth. Help our crew haul up to three lobster pots, then enjoy a whole Western Rock Lobster cooked two ways on deck by our chef, with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink included.

The Western Rock Lobster fishery was the first in the world to be certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council, in 2000.

Join Mandurah Cruises for a unique Mandurah lobster fishing and catch-and-cook cruise, where you help haul lobster pots before enjoying a freshly prepared Western Rock Lobster lunch cooked onboard by our chef as you cruise the beautiful Mandurah waterways.

This relaxed  experience combines hands-on lobster fishing, dolphin spotting and a freshly cooked seafood lunch -  all within an hour of central Perth!

Cruise aboard our deluxe lobster fishing vessel Reel Affair II through Mandurah’s calm inland waterways and nearby fishing grounds, home to Western Rock Lobster, from the world’s first fishery to be certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council.

Your Lobster Catch & Cook Cruise departs from central Mandurah aboard our purpose-built lobster fishing vessel Reel Affair II.

We travel to our nearby fishing grounds to haul up to 3 lobster pots together with our experienced crew.

Under crew guidance, guests can assist in pulling lobster pots and learning about Western Rock Lobster and Mandurah’s fishing heritage.

Once the pots are hauled, relax onboard while our chef prepares your freshly caught lobster as part of a delicious cooked lunch served during a scenic cruise through Mandurah’s inland waterways, where dolphins are frequently spotted.

Take in sweeping water views, luxury canal homes and Mandurah’s peaceful estuary environment from the best vantage point possible, on the water itself.

Each guest enjoys one freshly prepared Western Rock Lobster as part of their onboard lunch experience.

Cruising aboard deluxe lobster fishing vessel Reel Affair II, featuring open fishing and BBQ deck viewing areas and upper deck coffee lounge, Captain's nook,  with onboard galley kitchen

Small group experience with a maximum of 30 guests on a boat built for 47, for a relaxed and personal atmosphere

Under the guidance of our friendly, expert crew, you will help haul in lobster pots (note, we have 3, so we need to select people, but we try to get as many involved as we can)

Chance for lobster selfies and photos once fishing completed

Scenic cruising through Mandurah’s calm inland waterway canals, fringed with scenic waterfront developments, with frequent dolphin sightings as Mandurah is home to around 90 resident wild Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins

Onboard dining, with our chef cooking your catch on deck.

Chef-prepared Western Rock Lobster lunch cooked fresh onboard and served during the cruise. Menu: one whole Western Rock Lobster per guest, cooked two ways. Half steamed with a zesty dressing and Asian rice, and half finished with garlic butter and a dressed salad

*** IMPORTANT NOTE ***
All guests must be able to move around the vessel independently and safely. This includes boarding via a narrow, slightly angled ramp, handling small steps or walkways and a ladder style stair case with handrails to access the upper deck. As the vessel is on open ocean, guests must be able to stay upright on moving water without assistance (we do not go out in unsafe conditions, but passing vessels can cause wake). If you’re unsure whether this is suitable for you or your group, please call our booking office on 08 9581 1242.

CRUISE DEPARTURE LOCATION
This cruise departs from Stingray Point Jetty which is located behind the Sebel Hotel Mandurah or alternatively you can enter 14 Vivaldi Drive, Mandurah WA 6210 into your Google Maps. Our booking office and gift shop is a 5 minute walk from here.
